Fishing in Kenai Lake
As stated before, Fishing in Kenai Lake is limited to trout and Dolly Varden, (Arctic Char), as the salmon that pass through the lake are entering into their spawning habitat. Kenai Lake has a good population of Dolly Varden, (Arctic Char), and a fair population of Lake Trout. There are some rainbow trout in the lake but they're not readily pursued as a sport fish due to their limited numbers. Most of the fishing is in the Kenai River during the summer and a little ice fishing goes on in the lake when the ice is thick enough to be safely walked or driven on.
